Jackie Charron Earns Massachusetts Bankers Association Women & Allies Achievement Award

Greenfield Cooperative Bank is proud to celebrate Jackie Charron, EVP – Chief Banking Officer, who was honored this spring with the Achievement Award at the Massachusetts Bankers Association’s Women & Allies Conference. The annual conference brings together banking professionals from across Massachusetts to connect, share ideas, and recognize the contributions of women and allies who are helping to shape the future of banking. The Achievement Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated leadership, commitment, and meaningful contributions to the banking community.

With over 40 years of banking expertise, Charron is a visionary leader and a dedicated advocate for the Western Massachusetts community. She has built a career defined by both industry-shifting innovation and deep-rooted philanthropy. She was a founding partner of Walden Mutual Bank—the first mutual bank established in the U.S. in 50 years—and was instrumental in launching the digital bank Zynlo, proving her ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes while pioneering modern financial solutions.

Since joining GCB in 2024, Charron has bridged the gap between professional strategy and community service. She formalized the bank’s employee volunteer program and implemented “Networking for Good” events to connect local organizations with vital resources. From serving meals at Stone Soup Café to providing financial literacy tools for local families, her “friend-raising” approach ensures that banking is a force for good. As a trusted mentor and board member for organizations like Girls Inc. of the Valley, she remains committed to fostering a workplace culture and a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
